SPIES - Strategic Planning Implementation and Execution Survey

SFA Strategic Plan Implementation and Execution Survey

In 2019 our SFA Envisioned 2023 Strategic Plan reached its midway point. To help focus the on-going implementation of the plan, members of the university community were asked to share their impressions of how the plan had been implemented to date.

We were assisted in this assessment by Academic Impressions, a higher education professional development consulting firm. Dr. Pat Sanaghan, who helped facilitate the original development of our plan, is a key contributor to the development of the instrument used, the Strategic Planning Implementation and Execution Survey (SPIES).

SPIES assesses six key elements of strategic plan implementation:

• Alignment

• Decision making

• Organizational discipline

• Collaboration

• Culture

• Engagement & inclusion

Survey Results

During the administration of the SPIES (November 4-15, 2019) 437 faculty and staff members responded. Thank You!

A summary of the overall results within each key element is shown below. A more detailed report can be downloaded here.
